Panoramic View of White Beach Puerto Galera Day 3
Before anything else, we’d like to give you a short background of our Puerto Galera adventure. This is by far the most memorable and most special adventure we have had for the past seven years. This adventure was not only our time to explore and discover Puerto Galera’s beautiful spots (that’s a big bonus though), it is also our 7th anniversary together. We thank God for guiding and making our relationship better and stronger every day, so, it’s high time to give ourselves a reward – a memorable and special reward.
Cheers to seven years of love and adventures together!

We are ready!!!
Your smile is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. – Are
You smile.
I smile.
Here are the 10 things that we did on our 7th Anniversary adventure at White Beach, Puerto Galera:
#10 Souvenir Hunting
As always, whenever we travel, we make sure we buy souvenirs for our family, friends, colleagues, etc. and of course, for us to have something to keep from this adventure. Typically Filipino! Hehe!
Rings Made with Natural Shells
Madj contemplating on what to buy and how to spend money on pasalubong wisely
#9 Explore Night Life
There are a lot of bars and restaurants that offer great entertainment in Puerto Galera. One of the most famous and most entertaining attractions you can see at night is the fire dancing show. Surely, every tourist will be amazed on how talented the dancers are. *applause* *applause*
#8 Stay at Rem’s Virgin Island Hotel
To make your stay at White Beach, Puerto Galera a hassle-free one, we suggest you book in advance and choose what best suits your budget and location preference. In our case, we chose the more budget-friendly but less quiet accommodation. We read a number of reviews on the internet and blogs before finally booking our two-night stay at Rem’s Virgin Island Hotel.
Rem’s Virgin Island Hotel is located at White Beach, Puerto Galera 5203. Before you can get to the beach front, you have to take a 4-6-minute walk. The hotel has a 5-6 ft. swimming pool and a billiard table that’s best for barkada bonding when you’re running out things to do at the beach. We provided the pros & cons of this hotel to properly address our observations.
Pros:
- They offer big rooms for two persons.
- Budget-friendly hotel.
- They have swimming pool, billiard table, videoke (though we haven’t tried one) — recommended for family and barkada bonding.)
- Friendly and accommodating staff.
- They have fast Wi-Fi connection on and near the lobby and pool area.
- Spacious parking area
- Hotel location is far from the loud music which gave us a long and sound sleep.
Cons:
- 4-6-minute walk before you can get to the beach front.
- When it is dark, there is not enough light to see the road to and from the beach front properly. You must bring your own flashlight.
- No unlimited supply of mineral water.
- Limited Wi-Fi connection on the rooms.
- Advanced payment is non-refundable.
Despite the cons, our stay was still good. Thank you, Rem’s Virgin Island Hotel!

#7 Pose like a Tourist
As we always do on every adventure we have, we love posing like typical tourists. Best spot to make you feel like a tourist? Their I LOVE Puerto Galera Backdrop!

#6 We Got Inked
We were ecstatic because this was both our first time to have henna tattoo! I chose to have mine on my right shoulder and Madj on her right thigh. See the designs we chose below:
Thank you Ms. Regine Loresto of Alvin’s Ink Tattoo / Galera Ink Tattoo for our Cool Henna Tattoos.
#5 Wait for the Sunset
Down to our last five.
“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.” — Jo Walton
On every travel we have, if there’s an opportunity to capture and see the dramatic sunset, we definitely wait for it no matter what. This trip was no different. We didn’t miss the chance of capturing the breathtaking Galera sunset. We will just let the pictures do the talking.
Know what you want to do, hold on to that thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal. – Elbert Hubbart
Here’s my favorite photo of Madj with the sunset as her backdrop.
Piggy-back pose — Took only seconds for me to carry her. Just kidding, hon.
#4 Foodventure in Galera
A pristine, short stretch of beach has so much to offer. There are a lot of restaurants, bars and stores offering great food that will definitely give you complete satisfaction. Listed below are the food that we tried and our ratings / comments on them.
“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate.” – Alan D. Wolfelt
Day 1 Dinner
- Name: Food Trip Chicken Inasal
- Address: Beachfront
- What we ordered:
- Sinigang na Hipon at Bangus
- BBQ Meal
- 1 extra rice
- Mineral water
- Total Expenses: Php 436.00
- Rating: 4/5
- Comments / Observations:
- They have unli-rice to all rice meals.
- Our favorite Sinigang na Bangus at Hiponwas well-cooked and tasted well, but we noticed that it had too much black pepper.
Day 2 & Day 3 Breakfast
- Name: Complimentary Breakfast for 2 for 2 days
- Address: Rem’s Virgin Island Hotel
- What we ordered:
- Tapsilog + 1 cup hot choco
- Tocilog + 1 cup hot choco
- Total Expenses: Free on Accommodation Fee
- Rating: 3/5
- Comments / Observations:
- They only offered the following silog meals: Tapsilog, Hotsilog, Cornsilog, Tocilog, and Longsilog. It could be complimented with hot coffee, hot choco or pineapple juice.
- They don’t offer unlimited supply of mineral water for guests, so you need to buy for an extra bottle if you may. The tapa tasted like adobo, and it was great. They served small amount of rice per meal, so you ought to add extra rice to fully satisfy your hungry tummy.

#3 Photoshoot at the Beach
Since we didn’t have a chaperon with us, prior to this trip, we ordered online our newest tripod, a gorilla tripod and a remote control for our Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera.
Great spot + nice angle + sweet pose = THE PERFECT SHOT! **prenup, anyone?** Just kidding.
#2 Explore White Beach Puerto Galera
White Beach, Puerto Galera is considered one of the best beaches in the Philippines. For everybody’s information, Puerto Galera was hailed as one of The World’s Most Beautiful Bays for the year 2005.
The White Beach, Puerto Galera is gorgeous in its own, unique way. We couldn’t take our eyes off it. To lie down on its sand for a few seconds made us feel relaxed and calmed.
The weather was fine. It was a bit windy. Waves were the wildest in the afternoon.

We loved the crystal clear blue water. Water sports activities were also IN.
Rates of All Water Sports:
#1 Parasailing – Our Most Memorable Experience
Can’t wait to release our parasailing photos and videos (Will upload it once I compiled and edited everything! We will keep you posted. Don’t worry!)
We loved everything about parasailing. The scary heights, the beautiful view, the unexpected emotions, the friendly boatmen, the white beach, the life vests, the smiley yellow parachute, from start to finish — EVERYTHING.
“Flying High on the Wings of Love”
This is by far the best adventure we’ve had. We felt like we were flying. YES! We were flying at the top of an amazingly beautiful White Beach, Puerto Galera. We couldn’t believe seeing the short stretch of the pristine White Beach. This experience made our adventure more memorable and remarkable. We can’t wait to do it again.
Before we headed on to parasailing, we needed to sign the Wind Captain Unlimited, Release of Liabilities.
This parachute design didn’t work for us, so we changed to the yellow one. Yes!
Time to Parasail
We loved our parachute design — ALDUB feels at Boracay! Click this video to watch Maine and Alden’s Parasailing.
